Comparisons between me and the readings/movies

One scene that relates to one of my situations was from "The Ethics of Living Jim Crow". It was the scene where the watchman slapped the maids butt and tried to get Richard to laugh about it. This is not a funny situation and I feel that it relates to the episode of the Chappel show that I mentioned. When Dave mocked the fact that sometimes people plan out when they will most likely lose power,because they didn't have the finacial benefits to cover themselves, the audience laughed, even I laughed, but when I think about it this is not a laughing matter. The fact that people can live in situations such as this is sad and depressing and needs to be dealt with not mocked. (more will come later.)
