Racist Incident

Well I'll start with a little story about parks with restaurants. Normally parks have chairs, benches, and other sitting places. This particular incident took place in New York, on 50th street. My friend and I (a Mexican) were walking very calmly to a few chairs. What we did not know was that a restaurant next to it owned them. It would have been hard to notice since there were so many people selling their food products in the park. There were icey carts and hot dog stands. After a very long day in school we sat down and enjoyed the smell of the delicious Chinese food we bought a few blocks down. We sat down, opened our food, and minutes later we were confronted by a white American waiter. He told us we couldn't eat here and simply waits until we stand up and leave. Before we left we said sorry and explained that we did not know. But after sitting down in another spot we looked and noticed that we were not the only ones not eating their product. Besides that fact there were only white people sitting down reading news papers.

Another race incident in my life in the Vanderbilt Building at New York University. A friend of mine entered. She presented her I.D. (it was not an NYU I.D.) and was not allowed in. For many months it was accepted for SEO students to enter the building without a college I.D. simply because we did not have them available. Long story short she attempts and is not allowed in. Then I attempt to go in and am allowed access. This situation included: a Latin security guard, a colored girl (my friend), and a Latin Christopher (me).
It might have been that I looked older and thus might have actually looked like a college student or simply the racist part of life.

I can relate and I was there for the second one just because people look a certain way it does not mean we ac ta certain way people might think I have been moved many times in order to comfort others need. People are so racist they just don't notice half the time.

The first one I would have been like I am American I can eat wherever i want.. wow. cool i had that same experience but a little bit different...
