I really liked this quote especially in the context of the reading. After reading the packet until I came across that quote, I had had a sense of anger and inspiration. I'm not sure if those are the right words to explain how I felt but the problem with the world today is also that we don't question anything. Us humans are so ignorant we forget sometimes that we are all the same. We don't question ourselves and others. We don't question ourselves if someone needs help and if we should offer our helping hand. Questioning is not only about others but about everything. The world we live in, the society we live in, the culture and background we come from, and even the earth. Us humans don't question ourselves about what would happed in the next twenty years about what would happen to it, the people living in it, the animals, tghe society, the structure, etc.
I also liked the quote: "'Me, I don't listen to my heart. The purpose of the heart is to pump blood throughout the body, and nothing else.'"
Is the heart just an organ?
Is it something literal? Or is it something deeper? etc.
Murder during Freedom Summer
These three men, (from right), Andrew Goodman, James Chaney, and Michael Schwerner were abducted and murdered in Mississippi in the summer of 1964 because of their involvment in activism related to Freedom Summer. National attention was directed to this spectacle, as an alarming indicator that the sacrifices of the movement weren't exclusively black. White segregationists in Mississippi sought to make an example of Goodman and Schwerner to frighten other whites involved in the struggle. It didn't work.

I don't think that's true. I believe that many people question things. Maybe you don't see it often enough to realize it. I don't mean to be harsh about it so if I am please excuse me. Its just that I know ,for myself that is, that I am consistently questioning the information that is thrown my way and I know for a fact that other people are forever questioning what's going on at all times because I have lengthy conversations with these people and there are many of them.
