Dear Mr. Who Pushed Me,
Long ago I was one the Fort Washington Park swing. Then I felt your presence near me. You pushed me off the swing and I replied “OMG you did not just push me off the swing I waited an hour for”. During that moment I was appalled by your actions. In response to my boisterous remark you pushed me off the swing. I still do not understand why you had to push me but moving on you suggested that I was Mexican. Your words still echo in my mind: “Get off you little Mexican b****… “You don’t have the right to sit on that seat because you a poor broke loser.” I might now understand why you made such a remark. I might have looked to you like a Mexican girl because I was eating a fajita/ taco from Mc Donald’s. I understand the reason why you did this but you could at least have said excuse me and not have pushed me. I was hurt. Emotionally and physically (my bottom was sore.) In response to your remark I responded. “I am a young Dominican girl… I am poor but, not dirt poor. I may not have a lot but, I get by with what I have and I’m proud to say who I am. On the other hand, I would like to see if you would tell this remark to any of your family members considering that you are also Mexican and that we live a block away from each other. And please do not give me that face cuz; I know your mommy”. I apologize for my rude an insensitive remark. I might have hurt your feelings as well just to even the score. I have also come to realize that many people in the world are judged on their appearance. Thank you for your time and the next time you go pushing little girls off a swing don’t just assume what they are.
BYE BYE and have a good summer
Kathy-->The little Kid you pushed off a swing.
P.s. you owe me a taco…
