Illusions and fascades

Illusions and facades
I feel that illusions and masks are necessary in order to go through our day to day routines. However, these things cannot instill change in anything. By using a different persona you are not being true to yourself, because you allowing your perceptions and views to be compromised for that of someone else. It would no longer matter if you knew your true identity because what you portray to the world becomes your identity. Simply because that is what people see you as and take away from your presence. What you show is a physical representation of who you are. During the early nineteen hundreds the illusions that blacks used became who they were, and changed their views. Although they might have been fighting on the inside because they did not on the outside it did not make a difference for their situation, which is why they continued to be oppressed.
